Athens Orthopedic Clinic reports data breach

Athens (Ga.) Orthopedic Clinic reported it was the victim of an EMR data breach, according to OnlineAthens.com.

The data included patients’ names, addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, Social Security numbers and some medical information, according to AOC’s website.

The data breach occurred in June, according to AOC CEO Kayo Elliott. AOC is currently notifying patients of the breach.
