Athenahealth shares up 23%

EHR vendor athenahealth’s share prices were up 23 percent at market close Dec. 15, according to the Boston Business Journal.

Here are three things to know from athenahealth’s annual investor conference, according to the report.

1. The company expects its 2016 revenue to reach between $1.08 billion and $1.11 billion by the end of the year. This would be the first time in history athenahealth’s revenues exceed $1 billion.

2. The company’s expected revenue is 19 percent higher than its revenue in 2015.

3. Looking ahead to 2017, athenahealth expects its revenue to grow another 19 percent, between $1.29 billion and $1.33 billion.
