Arizona HIMSS elects new officers

The Arizona Chapter of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society added a new team of officers to its volunteer board of directors for fiscal year 2018, effective July 1.

Here are the newly-elected leaders.

President: Jason Bickford, former department applications director of Mesa, Ariz.-based Banner Health

President-elect: Saffron Wanger, CIO of Phoenix-based Terros Health

Treasurer: Emilie Sundie, director of IT services for Phoenix-based Health Services Advisory Group

Secretary: Collene Bay-Andersen, dean of specialized programs of College of Health Professions at the of Tempe-based University of Phoenix

Past-president: Laura Young, an interoperability health IT and health information exchange strategist.
