The Cupertino, Calif.-based tech giant named Calm, a meditation and anxiety relief app in the App Store’s health and fitness category, its 2017 iPhone app of the year.
Editors from the App Store noted mental health and mindfulness as one of the four “breakout trends in app culture” in 2017. Other trends included augmented reality, real-time competitive gaming and apps focused on storytelling and reading.
