CMS takes a comprehensive, four-pronged approach to preparedness testing for ICD-10 in order to ensure that both CMS and the provider are ready. End-to-end testing is the final stage of this approach, following CMS internal testing of its claims processing systems, provider-initiated Beta testing tools and acknowledgment testing.
“At AOD, we are committed to partnering with senior care organizations to provide solutions that are proven to not only streamline day-to-day operations but also ensure our clients are well prepared when it comes to industry compliance and connectivity,” Charles George, CTO and vice president of research and development for AOD said in a statement. “As the ICD-10 transition approaches, our clients can feel confident well in advance of the deadline.”
Several of AOD’s clients participated in the end-to-end testing, which also validated the ability of AOD’s Answers EHR system to provide clean Part A and Part B ICD-10 codes.
