ProHealth Physicians, based in Farmington, Conn., will now offer live video consultations for Anthem members.
Currently, Anthem offers telemedicine consultations with physicians through LiveHealth Online, which employs remote physicians. LiveHealth Online offers physicians 24/7, but ProHealth Physicians will set their own times of availability, according to the report.
“This new telemedicine service will be a significant advancement in ProHealth’s mission to be a leading provider of population health management,” said James Cox-Chapman, MD, CMO of ProHealth Physicians, in a statement.
ProHealth Physicians will start offering video consultations to Anthem members this summer, according to the report.
