Four things to know:

1. American Well acquired acute-care telemedicine provider Avizia in 2018.

2. The American Well 250 Telemedicine Cart is designed to allow providers to initiate a telemedicine consult with specialists either via the cloud, within their health system or beyond their health system’s provider network.

3. The 250 cart features an pan-tilt-zoom camera and embedded remote patient monitoring tools.

4. “The 250 cart takes telehealth devices to a whole new level with enhanced performance and augmented security,” Cory Costley, senior vice president of devices at American Well, said in a news release. “This is a true end-to-end system that has been purpose-built for telehealth.”
