The challenge began in April, when the AMA invited U.S. healthcare entrepreneurs, physicians and medical students to present their best ideas for shaping and improving healthcare in the 21st century.

Of the 116 submissions, the AMA selected three winners, each of whom will receive money and access to the AMA’s network of organizations that specialize in startup strategy.

Here are the 2016 winners of the AMA’s Healthier Nation Innovation Challenge.
