Allscripts to acquire Netsmart Technologies in partnership with GI Partners

In collaboration with middle market private equity firm GI Partners, Allscripts has signed a definitive agreement to acquire health and human services software and technology solutions company Netsmart.

After the completion of the acquisition, Allscripts’ homecare software business unit will be merged with Netsmart. The acquisition is slated for completion in April.

The GI team believes this combination will create an industry leader that can improve clinical results and reduce costs in many increasingly important areas of the healthcare ecosystem,” said Dave Kreter, director of GI Partners.
