Allscripts Reports 3Q Loss

On Thursday, Allscripts reported a net loss of $48.9 million or $0.27 per share during the third quarter of 2013.

Adjusted earnings for the quarter were $0.05 per share, compared with $0.23 per share over the same period last year. Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.08 per share during the third quarter, according to the NASDAQ analysis.

Despite the losses, the company reported total quarterly bookings of $236 million, an increase of 46 percent over the third quarter of 2012. About 40 percent of the company’s third quarter bookings came from its population health management solutions.
