Under the partnership, trials managed by various clinical research organizations will be available to physicians from within the EHR. The goal is to help physicians participate in clinical trials as study investigators, without the high cost needed to establish infrastructure.
“Through our partnership with Allscripts, healthcare providers can identify patients for potential clinical research opportunities directly through their EHR,” said Chad Moore, president of Elligo Health Research. “Not only will patients gain access to treatments they might not have had otherwise, they will also participate from the comfort of their own physician’s office.”
The Allscripts eParticipate service will be available on Allscripts EHR platforms.
