UPMC Enterprises has partnered with healthcare AI firm Penguin Ai to develop AI models for clinical and operational use.

Through the collaboration, Penguin Ai will use UPMC Enterprises’ Ahavi data platform — which provides de-identified, real-world test environments — to build and test at least three AI-driven healthcare solutions to improve care access and strengthen physician-patient relationships, according to an Oct. 16 news release shared with Becker’s.

Penguin Ai’s first model, Patient 360, compiles structured and unstructured patient data into concise summaries for clinicians. A second model, Enhanced Prior Authorization, uses AI to streamline authorization requests for insurers and physicians.

At the Becker's 11th Annual IT + Revenue Cycle Conference: The Future of AI & Digital Health, taking place September 14–17 in Chicago, healthcare executives and digital leaders from across the country will come together to explore how AI, interoperability, cybersecurity, and revenue cycle innovation are transforming care delivery, strengthening financial performance, and driving the next era of digital health.
