Chicago-based Northwestern Medicine and PathAI have entered a multi-year collaboration aimed at transforming pathology diagnostics through AI.

- Northwestern Medicine will adopt PathAI’s AISight digital pathology image management system across its 11 hospitals, giving its 95 pathologists a centralized platform for case review and remote collaboration, according to a June 2 news release.
- The initiative includes a broad framework for joint research, clinical innovation programs and the co-development of diagnostic algorithms powered by machine learning.
- PathAI scientists and Northwestern Medicine researchers will explore the application of AI in digital pathology.
