New York City-based Mount Sinai Fuster Heart Hospital has established the Samuel Fineman Cardiac Catheterization Artificial Intelligence Research Lab.
Annapoorna Kini, MD, director of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at the Mount Sinai Hospital, was named director of the new research facility, according to a Sept. 15 news release. The lab will use artificial intelligence to support decision-making and advance research in interventional cardiology.
Researchers aim to integrate AI-powered technologies across procedural and educational applications through internal and external collaborations, with a focus on applying AI to stratify risk, plan cases and optimize outcomes.
