Sunny Eappen, MD, has been named chief medical officer of Assort Health, an AI agent platform for the patient journey.
In this newly created role for the company, Dr. Eappen will be responsible for bringing clinical and operational expertise to the company’s work with large healthcare organizations, according to an Aug. 4 news release from Assort Health.
Prior to this, Dr. Eappen served as CEO and president of University of Vermont Health from 2022 to 2025, according to his LinkedIn.
