Digital transformation remains top of mind for hospital executives, as they try to improve operational efficiency and boost access for patients, according to FTI Consulting.
Here are six things to know from a May 14 report from the management consultant that surveyed over 200 hospital leaders:
1. Half of executives say cybersecurity is their biggest digital challenge.
2. Forty-five percent of leaders are navigating the opportunities and uncertainties of AI and automation.
3. Thirty-six percent of executives are focusing on modernizing digital platforms to boost operational resilience and patient outcomes.
4. Eighty-four percent of leaders are adopting digital tools to cut administrative burden.
5. Sixty-nine percent of hospitals are reporting a 5% year-over-year increase in telehealth use.
6. Eighty-one percent of hospitals have a digital front door.
