8 recent vendor contracts, go-lives

The following health IT vendor contracts and go-lives were reported within the past week.

1. Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro, Ohio, renewed its contract to use Zix Corporation's Zix Email Encryption solution for another five years.

2. Roanoke, Va.-based Dominion Pathology Associates selected McKesson for revenue cycle management services.

3. Joplin, Mo.-based Freeman Health System selected Influence Health's EMPOWER enterprise patient portal.

4. Concord Township, Ohio-based LakeHealth has selected Cerner to implement its EHR.

5. Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust plans to implement a range of Cerner solutions.

6. Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust in the United Kingdom plans to go live on a MEDITECH EHR this month.

7. In a newly signed partnership agreement, St. Louis-based MercyVirtualCareCenter will virtually monitor intensive care unit patients at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey (Pa.) MedicalCenter.

8. Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston partnered with Philips to enhance its patient monitoring system.
