  • 60 percent hold a post-graduate degree
  • 28 percent hold a master's degree or PhD in informatics
  • 12 percent are advance practice nurses
  • 58 percent work for a hospital
  • 70 percent have titles containing the word "informatics"
  • In 2014, nursing informaticists made an average salary of $100,000 per year, up from $83,000 in 2007.
  • 48 percent hold a specialty certification
