5 Recent Health IT Vendor Contracts

The following is a roundup of recent health IT vendor contracts reported within the last week, beginning with the most recent.

1. Buffalo, N.Y-based Catholic Health System announced March 19 it had selected Juniper Networks data center solutions to support its healthcare applications.

2. On March 18, New Brunswick, N.J.-based St. Peter's Healthcare System announced it had selected athenahealth's athenaOne(R) suite of cloud-based electronic health record, practice management and patient communication services for its physician practices in New Jersey and New York.

3.  On March 18, Community Health Plan of Washington announced it had selected Dell Services and ikaSystems services and solutions to streamline its administrative processes for its Medicaid and Medicare lines of business.

4. On March 17, Albion, Neb.-based Boone County Health Center announced it was going live using Cerner's EHR system.

5. Ridgewood, N.J.-based Valley Hospital announced March 17 it has selected MEDITECH's 6.1 EHR after a thorough two-year selection process. The hospital will be implementing MEDITECH's full EHR, physician, nursing, clinical departments, surgical services, revenue cycle, patient portal and general financial applications.
