3M could sell health software business

3M is considering selling or spinning off its healthcare data and software business, according to a Reuters report.

The company’s healthcare business, 3M Health Information Systems, provides the healthcare industry with data aggregation and analysis services, according to the report. The business unit had 12-month revenue of approximately $730 million.

3M Health Information Systems has more than 5,000 hospital customers, according to the report.
