By first taking into account the three considerations, companies can improve product safety, track and traceability warranty management, maintenance as well as safety.

Companies continue to turn to blockchain solutions to overcome challenges with interoperability within the supply chain, Mr. Glaser said. Blockchain networks help improve tracking as well as audit production processes.

Major players in the automotive, aerospace and defense, medical devices and pharmacy segments are exploring how blockchain can be leveraged to give them a competitive edge, Mr. Glaser said.
