Stage 7 means the hospitals are largely paperless, able to share data, have data continuity with the emergency department and have met all the previous stage requirements.
MEDITECH did not disclose the entire list of hospitals that received the award. It did name three hospitals: Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences in Whitby, Hilo (Hawaii) Medical Center and Bristol (Conn.) Hospital. Ontario Shores Centre is the first behavioral health hospital in the world to achieve Stage 7 through MEDITECH’s EHR, according to the news release.
