14 CommonWell Health Alliance members commit to building new APIs

Fourteen CommonWell Health Alliance members have pledged to create new application programming interfaces that will advance CommonWell’s mission.

The following CommonWell members have committed to expanding the alliance’s services:

  • Athenahealth, Audacious Inquiry, CareMerge, Cerner, Health Gorilla, OmniSYS, PatientPing and Philips Wellcentive will develop an API that notifies users when a patient’s information is available on the CommonWell network.
  • Alumai, athenahealth, Cerner, Mana Health, the Social Security Administration and WoMBA will work to expand services for individuals looking to qualify for life or disability insurance.
  • Cerner, Redox Engine and RelayHealth will expand provider access to CommonWell’s network.

“Simply put, our members want to do more and know that they can do it here, so we’ve secured the processes, guidelines and commitments to jumpstart their progress,” said CommonWell Health Alliance Executive Director Jitin Asnaani.
