The council’s mission is to provide payers, providers, ACOS and other organizations with best practices for MACRA and related legislation as well as assist in technology redesign to support MACRA.
“This is a unique opportunity to really dig deep into how MACRA works, and understand how it will impact healthcare organizations, practices and physicians over the short and long term,” Advisory Council Co-Chair, Sajid Ahmed, chief information and innovation officer at MLK Health in Los Angeles, said in a statement. “It will allow us to share our experiences, learn from others and collaborate on innovative paths forward.”

The council will be overseen by Mark Stevens, principal of ARRAHealth Consulting, and president of the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of HIMSS, who will be the managing director.
