For its 2019 Healthcare Technology report, Updox, a collaboration platform for out-of-hospital providers, surveyed more than 600 non-hospital healthcare providers in the ambulatory and pharmacy spaces. Participants were asked about the technology solutions their organization uses for business functions such as appointments, reminders and forms.
Twenty percent of participants said they are planning to decrease the number of technology solutions their organization uses in 2019. Respondents provided the following factors that impacted their decision to reduce technology vendors:
· Decrease cost and expenses: 51 percent.
· Address staff complaints and frustrations: 44 percent.
· Access a single platform for multiple functions: 43 percent.
