CVS Health has revamped its direct-to-consumer weight management program to expand access to GLP-1 medications.
The company lowered the cost of MinuteClinic online weight loss visits to $29, down from $49 at launch in June, with no recurring membership or monthly fee, according to an Aug. 5 news release. CVS Health is also collaborating with Eli Lilly and Co. to expand access for eligible Zepbound and Foundayo patients. By early fourth quarter of 2026, eligible patients will be able to view transparent pricing, including cash-pay options, through the CVS Health app for same-day pickup at CVS Pharmacy locations.
CVS Pharmacy said it offers all FDA-approved GLP-1 medications through insurance and cash-pay options. The company said eligible commercially insured patients can pay as little as $25 a month with a manufacturer coupon, while eligible Medicare beneficiaries can access certain GLP-1 medications for $50 per month through the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge program, which runs through Dec. 31, 2027.
