Vantage purchased numerous M822 ophthalmic microscopes from Leica Microsystems. The M822 has dual illumination and Ottoflex technology, which allows for crisp, red reflex for surgeons, according to the release. The M822 microscopes also create a safer surgery for patients due to the scope’s ability to adjust the optimum light balance, according to the release.
Other features of the equipment include an ergonomic design, antimicrobial paint, a rotatable beam splitter, a programmable control unit, a wireless foot switch and full HD video capabilities.
