Despite the losses, the health system had its best financial month in May. CEO Matt Shahan told the Record that the hospital is not pulling back on services. Instead, the hospital is looking to pull back on its capital budget.

The hospital had entered the fiscal year projecting to lose $500,000. The hospital’s board of trustees has less than a month to approve the new budget.
