Wexner Medical Center posts 13.7% operating margin

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus posted a 13.7 percent operating margin for the fiscal year that ended June 30, according to a Columbus Business First report.

The hospital reported operating income of $324 million on nearly $2.4 billion in revenue, which far exceeded the system’s budget projections for the fiscal year. In 2014, Wexner Medical Center reported operating income of $225 million on $2.1 billion in revenue, according to the report.

The hospital expects its pace to continue, as the 2016 budget proposed to trustees projects Wexner Medical Center will post $346 million in operating income on $2.6 billion in revenue, according to the report.
