Wellth, a patient mobile technology provider, partnered with G8Way Payments, a revenue cycle management solutions provider, to cut hospital readmissions.
Wellth provides hospital discharge programs for patients with serious health conditions post-discharge, like those following a major surgery or adverse event. Through its partnership with G8Way, Wellth will offer incremental cash incentives through G8Way's Healthy Lifestyle branded and reloadable prepaid cards. The collaboration aims to enhance patient engagement with discharge protocols.
"Readmissions lead to over $40 billion in additional hospital costs annually here in the U.S.," Matt Loper, CEO of Wellth, said in a prepared statement.
