Last month, WellPoint fired Brian Sassi, who previously oversaw WellPoint’s Medicare Advantage plans, according to an Indianapolis Business Journal report. Medicare Advantage plans lost $150 million for WellPoint last year.
Mr. Madabhushi will not oversee WellPoint’s Medicaid and individual insurance plans, which are now within WellPoint’s commercial business sector.
