The health plan, Blue RewardsSM, will be available to individuals and small businesses through the Iowa Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act exchange starting this fall. The insurance product combines the coordinated care offered by UnityPoint Health’s provider network and pharmacy, health food, wellness and dietician services from Hy-Vee in a plan administered by Wellmark, according to a news release.
Although plan members will have access to Wellmark’s full provider network, they will have the lowest out-of-pocket costs if they receive care from UnityPoint providers and fill prescriptions at Hy-Vee pharmacies. Blue Rewards still requires regulatory approval, according to the release.
