The list covers 99 Medicaid HMOs from 30 states and the District of Columbia, less than half of all Medicaid HMOs.
States with some of the highest-ranked Medicaid HMOs included Massachusetts (four HMOs ranked in the top 10), New York, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania and Michigan. States with some of the lowest-ranked Medicaid HMOs included Missouri, California, West Virginia, New Mexico and Kansas.
