Through the contract, McKesson will also provide Wake County EMS with an automated subscription service and a web-based patient signature feature. Separately, McKesson will oversee WakeCountyEMS’ debt setoff program.
“Helping us automate the subscription service should allow for continued growth of this important program,” said Michael Williams, Wake County EMS’ assistant chief of logistics. “At the same time, McKesson’s long-time experience in EMS billing, detailed business reporting and features like e-signature will help us sustain a solid financial footing for our agency.”
