Blue Cross will replace Cigna as Vermont’s employee health plan administrator. The state has also decided to continue contracting with pharmacy benefit manager Express Scripts in St. Louis and Concord, N.H.-based insurer Northwest Delta Dental for pharmacy and dental coverage.
There are more than 23,000 employees, retirees and dependents covered by the state’s health plan. Blue Cross will maintain the current benefit structure and additionally implement a wellness program.
