LifePoint’s net income in the third quarter of 2011 remained flat from 2010, posting a net income of $38.8 million.

For the nine months ended Sept. 30, 2011, LifePoint’s net revenue surpassed $2.64 billion, an increase of 9.7 percent from the same nine months of 2010. William Carpenter, III, CEO of LifePoint, said the third quarter results and overall progress in 2011 could be attributed to working more closely with their physicians and making “strategic investments in our existing assets, as well as in new markets, while effectively controlling costs.”

LifePoint also released same-hospital statistics. Same-hospital admissions in the third quarter of 2011 were down 0.2 percent from the third quarter of 2010.
