UnitedHealthcare Finalizes XLHealth Acquisition

UnitedHealthcare, part of UnitedHealth Group, has completed its acquisition of XLHealth Corp., a Medicare Advantage plan with roughly 117,000 beneficiaries, according to a UnitedHealth Group news release.

UnitedHealthcare and XLHealth signed the initial acquisition agreement in November 2011. UnitedHealth Group expects the acquisition to add roughly $2 billion to total revenue in 2012 and $0.05 to net earnings per share.
