TriHealth to Expand Inpatient Beds at Bethesda Butler Hospital

Cincinnati-based TriHealth will begin an expansion project at Bethesda Butler Hospital in Hamilton, Ohio, in the next few weeks.

The 10-bed Bethesda Butler Hospital will gain an additional 38 private medical and surgical inpatient beds, as TriHealth will build a two-story inpatient building adjacent to the main hospital. TriHealth will also add an operating room expansion. An increase in inpatient surgical volumes led to the decision to expand the hospital.

The expansion is expected to be completed by December 2015. TriHealth officials estimate Bethesda Butler Hospital will add 45 to 50 jobs, most of which will be nursing positions. The cost of the project was not provided.
