TransUnion Healthcare keeping contract with VA

TransUnion Healthcare, part of credit and information management company TransUnion, will continue providing automated health insurance eligibility discovery and verification solutions to U.S. Veterans Affairs Department.

VA patient account centers that manage the revenue cycle for 170 VA medical centers already use the solutions. They will continue to do so under a new health insurance discovery contract between the VA and TransUnion Healthcare, which will be executed with direction from Gi4, a technology services and integrator owned by a service-disabled veteran.

"TransUnion is honored to continue our work with the VA and welcome our new services partner, Gi4, an innovative IT provider having demonstrated the experience and skills, to ensure smooth delivery and operation," Gerry McCarthy, president of TransUnion Healthcare, said in a prepared statement.
