Tower Health closes 2 Pennsylvania urgent care centers

West Reading, Pa.-based Tower Health has permanently closed two of its Pennsylvania urgent care centers and is making changes to other locations as part of consolidation efforts that started Feb. 25.

As part of the efforts, the health system has closed its Hamburg (Pa.) Urgent Care and Oaks (Pa.) Urgent Care locations, a Tower Health spokesperson said in a statement shared with Becker's.

Tower Health's Pottstown, Pa.-based North Coventry Urgent Care and its Reading, Pa.-based Exeter Urgent Care locations will move to being open seven days a week.

The health system's Limerick (Pa.) Urgent Care location will be reopening and also running seven days a week beginning March 16.

"Our goal is to ensure consistent and reliable access to urgent care services for our patients in each of our markets," the spokesperson said. "The strategic consolidation will eventually allow Tower Health Urgent Care to restore a 7-day model at our locations."

Tower Health's Sinking Spring (Pa.) Urgent Care, Wyomissing (Pa.) Urgent Care, Exeter Urgent Care, Douglassville (Pa.) Urgent Care, Gilbertsville (Pa.) Urgent Care, North Coventry Urgent Care, and Limerick Urgent Care will remain in operation.
