San Antonio-based Peripheral Vascular Associates plans to lay off employees and close multiple offices, according to WARN notices filed Oct. 31 with the Texas Workforce Commission.
PVA has 27 providers and eight locations and is the largest single specialty vascular surgery group in Texas, according to its website.
"Peripheral Vascular Associates is undergoing business difficulties that likely will result in the need to wind down the business, resulting in the end of all of its employees’ employment with PVA," the group said in a letter filed with state officials, according to the San Antonio Business Journal.
The WARN notices specifically mentioned PVA's medical center and downtown locations, with Dec. 4 expected to be the last day of business for those sites. A timeline for the group's closure was not provided.
"PVA remains committed to its patients and employees during this difficult time," a spokesperson for the group told Becker's.
