Texas hospital taps Little River Healthcare for administrative services: 3 things to know

Little River Healthcare of Rockdale, Texas, has agreed to provide administrative, management and billing services for Houston County Medical Center in Crockett, Texas, starting April 18.

Below are three things to know about the partnership.

1. The HCMC board of directors sought an umbrella group to oversee the hospital’s administrative duties, including general management, physician relations, human resources, billing and marketing.

2. In its first act as practice manager, Little River has called upon Robert Torres to serve as interim administrator of HCMC.

3. Little River Healthcare has a proven record of helping turn around struggling rural hospitals in Texas. LRH CEO Jeff Madison said, “We could not be more thrilled to extend our family tree into the Crockett community. We hope to continue HCMS’s record as a quality local medical care facility. The people of Crockett and Houston County deserve it.”
