Michael W. Garfield Named CEO of Tennova Healthcare in Tennessee

Michael W. Garfield has been named division I vice president and Tennova Healthcare market CEO, according to a Knoxville News Sentinel report.

Mr. Garfield, whose appointment is effective immediately, previously worked as division vice president at Community Health Systems in Nashville, Tenn. He has also served in executive level management roles with HCA throughout his tenure.

Tennova, formerly Mercy Health Partners, is now managed by Naples, Fla.-based Health Management Associates. HMA acquired Mercy Health Partners from Catholic Health Partners late last month.
