Louisiana’s Terrebonne General Medical Center to Open Cancer Center

Terrebonne General Medical Center in Houma, La., plans to open its $14.8 million Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center in September, according to Daily Comet report.

The center is an expansion of the hospital and will provide oncology, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, surgical interventions, community outreach services and clinical research trials.

The hospital began constructing the center in late 2009 and will start accepting patients to the facility in late September.
