St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia Lays Off 46

St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia has laid off 46 employees, which is about 2 percent of the hospital’s workforce, according to a Philadelphia Inquirer report.

A spokesperson from the 189-bed hospital, which is owned by Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare, released a statement that said the layoffs were attributed to a shifting need for “some patient services,” according to the report.
