Tenet reportedly issued BCBS of Texas the termination notice in October, according to the article.
If negotiations prove unsuccessful, seven of Baptist Health’s hospitals will no longer be considered in-network for individuals with Blue Cross PPO, Blue Essentials, Blue Advantage HMO and Blue Cross Medicare Advantage plans.
BCBS of Texas officials said they will notify members of any network changes.
In a notice to agents and brokers, BCBS of Texas said they hope “Tenet will remain in [their] networks. Even if Tenet decides to leave [their] networks, members in Texas can still choose from more than 80,000 doctors and healthcare practitioners and 500 hospitals throughout the state.”
