According to the report, the cuts still will not balance the entire budget for the health system’s upcoming fiscal year. However, UM and JHS have agreed to find an additional $36 million in savings from “value improvement initiatives.”
Of the $16.5 million in cuts, $9 million will be slashed from programs that recruit UM physicians while $3 million will be cut from UM’s clinical administration services.
