The proposal will appear on the April ballot. The measure would slightly raise homeowners’ property taxes — for example, a district taxpayer with a $150,000 home would have to pay about $225 more, according to the report.
If approved, the extra $9 million would increase St. Bernard Parish Hospital’s operating revenue by 30 percent.
