The 9,935-square-foot ED is three times the size of the old facility and includes eight private rooms and two trauma treatment rooms. It also includes a family conference room, an observation room, a centralized nursing station and a decontamination treatment area.
The old ED is going to be used to expand the cardiology and radiology departments at the hospital, according to the report.
