Sanford Health reports $121M 1H profit

Sioux Falls, S.D.-based Sanford Health has reported an operating gain of $71.8 million on revenue of $3.6 billion just weeks after the merger plan with Minneapolis-based Fairview Health was nixed.

The system saw expenses rise 2.9 percent in the six months ending June 30 compared with the same period in 2022.

Overall income totaled $121.8 million compared to a net loss of $256.5 million in 2022. Long-term debt totaled $1.5 billion, while days’ cash on hand rose slightly to 133.5.
